Dinner in Queenstown, New Zealand

After lunch in Arrowtown, we very sensibly booked Christmas Eve dinner at Pier 19 Restaurant in Queenstown. We were staying at the lovely St Moritz hotel, which is located about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Queenstown, and again definitely a hotel I would return to. Following a very civilized aperitif in the hotel bar we wandered down to the lovely pier area for a seafood splurge…

Queenstown is not a particularly big city, however it’s compact nature makes it a very easy city to navigate for the traveler. It has an extremely laid back and friendly vibe, which I realise sounds incredibly cliched, but that is exactly how it struck me…

Walking back along the harbour area without a tripod necessitated a balancing act on the handrail; the stunning views from the restaurant at which we dined (our empty table can just be seen on the far right) can be appreciated from this view… © Michael Evans Photographer 2015
