This magnificent building was built by the Emperor Hadrian, being dedicated in approximately 126 BC; almost two thousand years after it was built, the Pantheon’s dome is still the world’s largest un-reinforced concrete dome. It is this amazing dome that particularly fascinates me, since the height to the oculus (circular opening) in the centre, and the diameter of the interior central circle are both exactly 43.3 metres…
