Although I did not have a tripod with me, I was able to brace myself against a post in order to capture this night image of Bernini’s fountain, complete with a half moon in the background. This piece was commissioned by Pope Clement X to complement the existing Maderno fountain on the northern side of the square, being completed in 1677.
